Major General Graham's 50th Northumbrian Division landed on D Day on a stretch of the Normandy coast between Ver sur Mer and Le Hammel, just east of Arromanches. Their beaches were codenamed 'Jig' (231 Brigade) and 'King'(69 Brigade). The documents enclosed are principally documents, maps and air photographs made/taken before and during D Day.
